Happiness is...taking a break

Stay Happy. Stay satisfied. Stay cool.
These are easy to say, and tough to be. I really can't remember, the last time when i was fully happy, or smiling or laughing like crazy. I mean seriously, did i stop for a moment and looked back to see how i was holding up with my life? Did i take a moment to feel what i was actually feeling? No. Some how i just skipped the emotional part and continued with the practical. Some how being happy became the least thing i wanted to have in my way towards life. But is it that simple? Leading life without preferring yourself a bit? I think that we all should just stop jostling and getting lost in this worldly life. Just take a moment, see what you've been through and appreciate what you've got. Good or Bad.
Wishing and Dreaming- these two are unlimited. Dreaming is good. But sometimes we dream so much that we forget the reality. Then it comes- Depression. Sadness of not getting what we fantasized of. But because of the ugly reality we can't just stick to our fantasies, or dreams or wishes. We should have the courage to dream and to face reality in both hands. It is what it is, depending on how you see it. Expectations should be in your limits, so that you can easily attach it to the reality. If you can't make it, just give it time. time heals everything. Sometimes in this buzzing life, all you need is just a break from everything, and only you own it, no one else. Then everything seems so better, the pain heals itself, and the problems start to sorting out.
I know, we are humans. We can't be fully satisfied but what we can do is to have patience and inner strength. Life is a gift. It's in our hands. It is us, who can decide whether to be happy or waste it in depressions. We can wrap it in rainbows, we can color it. We are that much powerful! So why not be happy? :D

“Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.”

Can we just halt a sec. and review all the good moments we had with our friends, families and loved ones? It can really be refreshing. Having all the flashbacks of good times. Life is not that bad, is it?
“Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by

smiles, not tears.”

Do we need any particular reason to stay happy, satisfied? We are gifted a life from god, we have a beautiful earth having trees and oxygen so we can breath, we have families, we have loved ones, we have pets, we can go window shopping, (do i need any money for that?!), everything that we needed. Life could be worse. I could be born as a cockroach and could be bitten dozen of times by sandals, gross! So lucky that i'm a human. I can lead my life in my own rules. That is happiness. That is my satisfaction. Tell you what this can't get any better. I'm good with this "boring and not so special" kinda life. And i can try my best to put all the little things together to be a happy teen. :)

from your own actions.”

opposite sides of a coin

Hi B,  I've been sort of busy with the training for the job and have another interview coming tomorrow. I am torn between staying with the current job and switching or keeping both as part times. I don't know, I guess I will have a decision made if the interview goes well. I have been traveling far for the current one and every time I get on the bus or the the train I feel depression kicking in full force. Suddenly I remember home, the comfort of being around my loved ones, the easy life I once had back in Bangladesh. Certainly, there are things that weren't easy but I guess it felt easy because I was more used to it. Transport was rickshaw and didn't even think twice before booking an uber because I always had some money with me. Now I have literally 200 dollars to go by and I have to think twice to even buy a cup of coffee or a piece of bread. I guess with time, I will be able to save up some money. I am glad at least I got to start working. It is still very overwhelm...

spring is almost here

Hi B,  Season is changing. The hard days are almost over.  The city I live in has turned so beautiful, I get overwhelmed by the beauty.  Tulips are in. Cherry blossoms are blossoming.  Magnolia, Beautiful white flowers, name unknown to me.  Taking a walk out feels like a celebration of life.  It feels like I'm falling in love with the city.  I remember when I first moved here 2 years ago, the excitement and the crippling anxiety of starting a new life from scratch. Now, after 2 years, I feel a warmth and love for the place.  I don't know if I would feel the same when the winter comes though. Seasonal depression is no joke.  My new mantra for life now is to chill.  Praise the nature and find pretty little corners in the city.  Write poems.  Paint, maybe.  Seek positivity.  Love. Be kind to self. No rush. Read books. Just flow.

healing in progress

Dear B,  What I learned from the past week is that I tend to take on grief from others in my family like my own. Even though there is nothing I can do about it to ease other's pain. Hence, I suffer internally.  There is a song that I deeply connect with:  Tu Jhoom | Naseebo Lal x Abida Parveen. It kind of goes like this: “What is meant to be yours will find you through any excuse. My heart, understand that there is nothing in your control. You just swirl (let it go)” My brother recently got rejected from a marriage proposal from a girl he really liked. It was arranged but this was his first experience talking with a girl. Seeing him being torn left me in tears as I know how much he was hurting. He is such a gentle soul. I took his pain as if my own and could not sleep at night. Nothing I say could ease his suffering but I still tried to cheer him up. I prayed genuinely for him to be showered with blessings. I want him to experience life, be with someone who would ca...
